The Spanish club, Real Madrid C.F. has just published its financial figures and total revenue reached € 843 million in the 2022-23 season.

The largest amount in the history and the club can return to the top of the ranking of the teams with the most revenues in world football.

Revenues

Last season Real Madrid saw revenues rise 17% and for the first time the resources surpassed pre-pandemic figures. A solid € 843 million in operating revenues in 2022-23 season.

The revenues will grow a lot, with the nowadays stadium limitations, matchday has not reached its maximum potential.

Sports Value's projection is that the club could reach €1 billion in operating revenues after the stadium refurbished and 100% of its capacity.

Costs

Revenues from player wages reached € 455 million, 54% of revenues, a strong balance compared to previous years. In 2022 the index was 72%.

Tax impact

An interesting fact published by the club was its fiscal impact, in amounts passed on to the Spanish government. A total of € 342 million.

A € 294 million referring to taxes on wages and social security and another € 48 million in VAT.

Net profits

Real Madrid continues to close the season with profits, also in the pandemic, when many teams accumulated deep losses.

In 2023 the net profits reached €11.8 million, and in 2022, €12.9 million.
