Real Leaders Fail Forward

Real Leaders Fail Forward

Acting like mistakes don't happen is a major cultural fail.

One, the same mistake will happen again.

Two, people become afraid to even try.

Three, people rush to cover their own skin - at the expense of your company.

If you want to see your employees throw each under the bus, act like mistakes don't happen.

If you want to see your business learn and thrive, respect people who admit to making them.

As a manager, it is imperative that I own my mistakes, to ensure my staff understands I accept us all as human, not to fear for their livelihood die to mistakes, and to show them the world won't burn down if we male mistakes, where we can almost always recover from a mistake. Managers that don't own their mistakes are not the sort that benefits a company as a whole.
