A REAL INDUSTRIAL PLAN FOR BRITAIN!

A REAL INDUSTRIAL PLAN FOR BRITAIN!

LABOUR’S STATEMENT ON THE ECONOMY TODAY = VACUOUS AND RIDDLED WITH PATHETIC RHETORIC!

Yes – they are less pathetic than the Conservatives but that is hardly saying much!

In a 15-20 minute speech the ‘conservative Labour’ Chancellor the Exchequer in waiting outlined … .. .. well ……. NOTHING!

Labour have absolutely NO plan to get Britain back on its feet. Where is the big mission? Where is the exciting industrial plan? Where … the rallying call for British workers to scale the clean industrial ramparts of China and increasingly America.

Rachel Reeves speech was full of rhetoric and Conservative Party bashing (fair enough!) but absolutely missing any substance and totally lacking in inspiration.

She did though outline the Labour Party Industrial Plan as ….

…. wait for it!

… ….?? here we go … hold on to your seats everyone … buckle up…

“We will fight this election on the economy.?Five missions for a decade of national renewal. And six first steps to point the way to a better Britain.”

I know you are now on the edge of your seats … here it comes …. The six first economic steps on the way to a ‘Better Britain’…? here it is….

“Cutting NHS waiting times…

Launching a new Border Security Command…

…Great British Energy (actually a good idea!)…

Cracking down on antisocial behaviour;

Recruiting 6,500 new teachers;”

Yes yes yes I hear you say

And now the plan? We’re ready for the plan…

…. What? That’s it?

Are those 5 (not six Rachel! you are a numbers person right? From the Bank of England?) steps “NHS queues, Border control, British energy, antisocial behaviour and teacher recruitment” the WHOLE economic plan???????

I am holding my hands in my head now contemplating how the chief economists of the World are laughing. Deep laughs right in the core of their being.

Then I am crying… sobbing uncontrollably…. Is that really the best that Britain can offer as an economic or industrial plan?

Rachel Reeves will manage our decline… badly….

We need the big idea, the rallying call, the bold national industrial mission! Rachel and Kier (and Rishi and Jeremy) don't have one.

They don't have one even though 120 business people today signed a letter in which they say "We are looking for a government ... with a long-term growth strategy"

These business leaders are simply backing the 'best of a bad bunch'. Labour are clueless but the Conservatives are actually damaging to our prospects.

As we constantly hear on the street - why don't our politicians get it? And why do these business leaders not demand more of them?

Britain needs a clear economic direction to be set.

What is more obvious than the high speed train bearing down on us from the clean industrial revolution. That is the train we need to get on. That is what we need to lead and invest in.

The Climate Party's bold economic plan is to bring forward Britain’s net zero target decades and lead in the new Clean Industrial Revolution. Simply bringing our target forward 20 years, enacting the target into legislation and giving certainty to business will unleash investment and innovation on a scale and at a speed not seen since World War 2. The transformation of the British economy and the expansion of the national industrial base will only be dwarfed by the growth of our ‘clean’ exports in the 2030s and 2040s.

Now! That Rachel is an ‘economic plan’!
