REAL IMPACTFUL CHANGE, TAKES TIME!

The passage, ‘Look, this dreamer is coming!…let us…kill him’ (Genesis 37:19-20), reminds those of us who let fear get in the way of fulfilling our dreams that, it was Andrés Segovia’s dogged insistence on playing the guitar because he saw its potential for classical music at a time when serious composers and musicians had no respect for it, that ultimately opened the door for the guitar in concert halls and jazz bands, which in turn led to the electronically amplified guitar. In other words, like many big dreams, his dream made an impact far beyond his imagination. So let the knowledge that: 1) Over the course of eighty years, Segovia changed people’s perception of the guitar; 2) When we pursue our dreams, there’s no telling how far we’ll go; and 3) Real impactful change, takes time; teach you to stay focused on your goal and keep right on walking!FG.
