Absolutely necessary!  Trained and Licensed Realtors are your first line of defense in one of the most important transactions of your life.  Professional Real Estate Agents seek out and define potential situations that can become major problems.  They are committed and required to deliver the best advice and service to their clients.  They are driven to keep their buyer/sellers interest first and foremost.  I could never recommend not having a qualified professional Real Estate Agent involved in the sale of any real property.......Do not take your cousins advice and think you can buy or sell real estate with out a Realtor! You could be opening the door for major problems.......!
