Ready for what comes next?
My paents and older brother -- retirement was far from my mind!

Ready for what comes next?

After 20 years, my time with Deloitte comes to an end on June 3rd.

My immediate post-Deloitte plans include travel to New York to spend time with high school friends and Los Angeles for an apartment-hunting trip with my daughter and a visit with my son and his fiancée. I will return in time for the start of summer quarter at Northwestern University, where I will be teaching in the integrated marketing communications program. I have been an adjunct lecturer at Northwestern since January 2015 and I am looking forward to ramping up my involvement there.

Later in the summer, friends and I have a hiking trip planned to the Bugaboos in western Canada, before I head to San Francisco for our son’s wedding.

While teaching at Northwestern will be my primary “programmed” activity, other activities will include functioning as a senior advisor to an industry association, co-authoring a book on digital maturity, serving on the Advisory Board for Northwestern’s Spiegel Research Center, helping out with the peer-reviewed journal, Applied Marketing Analytics, as a member of the Editorial Board and completing my term as a WBEZ board member.

I am also seeking for-profit board opportunities and advisory roles with organizations focused on marketing services, marketing technologies, or content creation and dissemination. Ideas and contacts welcome!

For the time being, we plan to remain in our home in Winnetka.  One of my post-retirement goals is to reduce the clutter that we’ve accumulated over the past 21 years.

Last, but not least, I’m planning a fall marathon and always looking for fellow runners, willing to keep me company on long training runs.

Thanks for all of your help and support over the past twenty years. If there’s anything that I can do to help you, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
