At the beginning of each year, people tend to make great plans, resolutions or goals that they want to see accomplished by the next year. Most of those things are rarely accomplished or close to being fulfilled six months into our routines (in some cases, we don’t make it to a month!).
This year, we encourage you to do something different. Instead of just creating resolutions that may (or may not) be achievable, we want you to look at how you can improve you, your life, and your relationships by simply focusing on a few areas that may need some additional attention.
Look at your Wheel of Life and note how you are doing in each area. Some may be good and some not so good. The goal isn't to get it balanced at once (because that is not possible), but over time, you should start to find yourself becoming more and more in balance as you look at larger amounts of time. You may not be looking at a fully-balanced day, but you should be closer to balance when looking at the whole week and even closer when looking at the whole month.
So, pick an area that needs work, and write down some things that you can be more intentional about doing starting today. For instance, if you need to improve the Social Area, reach out to that friend whom you’ve wanted to have lunch with for a while and actually put it on the calendar.
But here is the deal:
This is your chance to identify those areas that you can work on and start right now!
Don't wait until next month. Start today.
