What comes to mind when you hear the word challenge?
For some, it's excitement. For others, it's pressure. But let’s be real - challenges often feel intimidating because we’ve all faced those moments where we start strong but, somewhere along the way, we fizzle out.
I know I have!
But why do challenges really fail? It’s not that we can’t handle them—it’s that we tend to complicate the process.
So, let’s flip the script with some super simple, practical tips that you can actually use, whether you’re tackling a small daily goal or a life-changing challenge.
Start small, think big.
- We often aim for huge results right away, which can lead to burnout. Instead, break it down! If you want to run a 5k, start by jogging around your block a few times. It’s all about those little steps leading to big achievements.
- Use a timer—set it for just 10 minutes and see how far you can go. It’s all about those little steps leading to big achievements!
Consistency over intensity.
- You don’t need to make giant leaps every day. Just showing up matters! For instance, if you want to read more, commit to just five pages a day. Those small daily habits really add up over time.
- Keep your book by your bed or in your bag so it’s always within reach. Those small daily habits really add up over time.
Set a non-negotiable deadline.
- Having an end date can keep you motivated. If you're working on a project, tell yourself, “I’ll finish this by next Friday.†A little urgency can make a big difference!
- Write your deadline on a sticky note and put it somewhere you’ll see it every day. A little urgency can make a big difference!
Celebrate the small wins
- Don’t wait until you reach your final goal to celebrate. Did you complete a workout or finish a chapter? Treat yourself to something nice! Celebrating the small victories keeps your spirits high.
- Keep a journal to jot down your small victories. This will remind you of your progress and keep your motivation up.
Have an accountability buddy
- Find someone to keep you on track—maybe a friend or a colleague. If you’re trying to write more, check in with each other regularly. Having someone to share your progress with makes the journey so much easier!
- Schedule weekly check-ins to discuss your progress and challenges. Having someone to share your journey with makes it so much easier...

Why challenges don’t get completed
- Overwhelm: We set too many goals at once.
- Unrealistic expectations: We expect huge results in no time.
- Lack of plan: We just dive in without a proper plan.
The fix?
- Simplify your challenge.
- Set manageable goals.
- Track your progress.

Now, here’s where it gets exciting!
I’ve set my own challenge to be completed by 11th November 2024—a date that holds special meaning for me.
Why?
Because 11:11 is all about alignment and manifesting your intentions.
Some see it as a lucky sign, and I’m using it as the perfect deadline to push myself toward my goals. You can do the same!
So, what challenge will you take on? Whether it’s big or small, just start. The only thing standing between you and success is consistency.
Let’s crush our goals together by 11th November!
By the way, what’s your 11:11 wish? If you could set one challenge for yourself, what would it be?
Love, Tanvi
