READY PLAYER ONE??

Sometimes when I evaluate new AI software, I wonder if it’s too much. For example, I found a website where I could essentially give up typing altogether and rely solely on dictation, even on my phone. While I do use dictation, the idea of never typing again felt like too much. It’s not that I’m afraid of the technology—I just don’t find it appealing to never type again.
On the other hand, some apps help with coding, which I find more interesting. Some people worry that these tools will replace programmers, but I recently used one to create a small app in Python. The code it generated had errors, which didn’t bother me because I was just testing it out. However, it showed me that programmers aren’t going anywhere—without them, we’d have faulty code everywhere.
Some people believe we’ll all be replaced by AI and live on UBI. While that’s a possibility, I wonder what people plan to do if that happens—just play video games like in Ready Player One? I’m not interested in living that way.
