Ready, Get Set... ACTION!

I don't have a crystal ball, but I am defined by my vision of the future which is my unique path to my Australian Dream

If you're a fellow migrant in Australia, you’ll feel blessed to grow up and grow old in one of the most liveable countries in the world.

For me, it wasn’t all sunshine and roses though, there was also rain and even storms, and I suppose a very similar journey for you too.

But through this journey, I’ve summed up my Australian dream:

“Living a lifestyle of choice growing each day towards greater financial independence, creating safety and security for my family, owning my home debt free, pursuing hobbies and free up time for your family for those I love – all without fear and regret”

How did I come up with that and is it for real?

I started week 4 reflecting and going deeper into the Australian Dream, and here it goes...

  • What does Lifestyle of choice mean to me?
  • How do you define financial independence?
  • What would make me feel that I have provided safety and security for my family?
  • Is owning a home important compared to having your investments working for you?
  • What are the hobbies that I would like to pursue?
  • How would I spend time with my family?
  • What are my fears? And what are my regrets?

Needless to say, I felt overwhelmed!

I decided to take some baby steps and used Robin Sharma’s framework of the 8 areas of your Life as a reference point to understand where I am today, define my future and then decide on ONE key action that I can take over the next 66 days that will have the biggest impact on my life to help me achieve my vision for the future.

This process definitely has given me greater clarity on how I envision my future because it’s not only defining what I want - but HOW and WHY I want it, and why these areas are important to me.

These are the 8 areas of my life: Adventures, Doing Good, Health, Innovation, Family and Relationships, Prosperity, Personal Mastery, Circle of Genius.

Here we go...

1 - Adventures

1.    Where am I today?

Our family adventures are based on spending a week as a family at the end of our two shared experiences in Thailand and Sri Lanka

2.    What is the vision of the future?

Vision of the future is to create more frequent mini experiences in Australia to experience the beauty of our own country
