--Charles W. Eliot

Reading develops intelligence because it gives readers the gift of wit and information. Readers are therefore aware of when and not to advocate for themselves. They also understand the most effective methods to express themselves without being forceful or assertive. Readers discover intellectual solutions to problems as a result, rather than getting into trouble for no reason by protesting. And in doing so, excessive confusion is eliminated; calm and satisfaction are restored.
Readers may immediately identify a character's look and behaviour in a book because the authors have described the character's nature or personality through some depictions. It provides readers with the ideal opportunity to make connections in their everyday lives as well. Readers who read for pleasure are more likely to notice a stranger and record every aspect. This causes someone to be more perceptive than usual. Being more perceptive of someone also aids in better knowing them and forming an idea of how they think and behave. A person with this characteristic may be more perceptive and logical than others.
