This is a book I read a while back, but I still remember this one for the impact it had on me and the way I thought. I came upon Dr. Brown’s work by sheer accident when I watched her now-famous TEDx talk sometime in 2011 (The power of vulnerability | Brené Brown | TEDxHouston). It’s a captivating, thought-provoking watch—I watched it when I was going through a difficult time in my life and what Dr. Brown was saying made a lot of sense; it felt almost like she was speaking to me. I still revisit this TED talk often and listen to it again and again.
The book was the next step forward—I’m not a big fan of self-help books as a genre; but there is a lot of amazing research here, a lot of great wisdom and insights, all of which has the potential to lead to brilliant epiphanies, Aha moments, and great transformation.
I’m sure you’ll have a great reading experience, but I also hope and wish that you’ll have a life-changing experience as well.
