Reading Faces to Understand People

We all read faces from the time we meet someone, we get a sense about them or a gut feeling or some people would call it intuition. I believe we meet so many people over our lifetime that our brain immediately recognizes the behavioral patterns that can be seen in the structure of the face. This was the case for a judge back in the 1930’s, whilst in court he saw a strong correlation between the facial structure and personality. He became so intrigued by his observations that he along with a team of men decided to research it using physiognomy as the basis for their studies. I think of the face as a guide to a piece of how our brain functions. It opens up a whole new understanding of human behavior. Instead of judging we come from understanding.
