Readiness factors for the Lean Six Sigma journey in the higher education sector
The Readiness Factors are a pre-requisite for the successful implementation, deployment and sustainability of LSS in higher education institutions (HEIs). In organisational studies, readiness is an important aspect under organisational change theories where several researchers provide different definitions of readiness. Organisational readiness is an under researched topic in the context of continuous improvement (CI) literature. Organisational change theory posits that greater readiness increases the chance that new CI initiatives will be implemented successfully.
Kotter (2008) suggests that failure to establish sufficient organisational readiness is the reason half of all efforts towards organisational change fail. The purpose of this paper is to reveal the readiness factors (RFs) which are required for the successful introduction and development of a Lean Six Sigma (LSS) initiative within the context of higher education (HE) sector. The RFs would assist any HE sector who would like to launch a LSS journey for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of business processes across the business. 6 年Year Jiju, I would appreciate to receive a copy of your article. Kind regards Dieter
Jiju Antony as John Black was wisely advised by some of his friends when he launched his second career as a LSS consultant after retiring from Boeing: if you want to succeed in LSS consulting, avoid Government, Healthcare, and Education. Despite this he succeed in HC!! Would love to read your paper!!! Cheers
