Reader Beta Update #10

A few weeks ago we sent out the tenth Public Beta Update for Readwise Reader, summarizing all the new and exciting things we've shipped recently:

Reading on kindle e-ink? You can now manually send individual documents from Reader to your Kindle, as well as automatically send a digest of newly saved articles daily or weekly!

We've made significant behind-the-scenes improvements to Reader's infrastructure, resulting in fewer bugs, faster performance, new browser extensions, and quicker development speed going forward.

Accidentally deleted something? No worries! Deleted documents now go to a Trash Bin where you can recover or permanently delete them.

Hop around documents with confidence! You can now easily return to where you left off on mobile. Never lose your place in a long document again.

Reader now lets you use GPT to clean up YouTube-generated transcripts, fixing issues like lack of capitalization, punctuation, and logical paragraph breaks. The clean transcripts are just like articles, ideal for highlighting full ideas :)

Reader continues to improve in small ways:

? Faster Tagging on Save: Tagging is now 10x-100x faster when saving via mobile share sheets and browser extension.

? Smoother Highlight Resizing: Improved UX for smoother and more precise highlight resizing, especially on e-ink devices.

? Enhanced RSS Feed Search: Easier and faster to find RSS feeds within the app.

? Notion Integration via API: Rebuilt Notion export using the public API for a more durable integration and new features like customizable column names.

? Longer Ghostreader Summaries: Generate longer summaries with Ghostreader thanks to our database refactor.

? General Parsing Improvements: Fixed parsing issues across 30+ domains, including NYTimes app articles and better figure captions.

? Accessible Delete Button on Mobile: Delete documents more easily on mobile with a now accessible "Delete document" button.

? Integrations: Readwise now integrates with:

Omnivore (letting you pull in your full library before they shut down)

TRMNL (view your highlights on their eink terminal)

Voicenotes (save your transcribed audio notes to your Readwise)

As Reader matures as a product, more and more of our focus is on hunting down edge cases, corner cases, and bugs.
