Threads is designed first and foremost as a place to share public real-time text updates, just like Twitter.
Indeed, you barely even have to squint, and Threads looks just like Twitter - though it does have a different font.
Posts can be up to 500 characters long and include links, photos, and videos of up to five minutes.
They appear in a timeline, and posts can be liked, reposted, replied to, and shared elsewhere. But posts don't appear chronologically, and there seems to be no way to make it so.
Users will be able to follow celebrities, athletes, and friends, many of whom will have jumped over from Instagram.
It's available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Chinese technology giant?Alibaba?on Friday launched an artificial intelligence tool that can generate images from prompts.
Tongyi Wanxiang allows users to input prompts in Chinese and English and the AI tool will generate an image in various styles such as a sketch or 3D cartoon.
Alibaba’s cloud division, which launched the product, said it is available for enterprise customers in China for beta testing.
Tongyi Wanxiang is Alibaba’s latest generative AI offering as tech giants in China and the U.S. look to race ahead with the technology.
Generative AI refers to a type of artificial intelligence that is able to generate content based on prompts. It is trained on huge amounts of data to be able to do this. The most famous example is OpenAI’s ChatGPT which has sparked a rush from the biggest tech players to develop their own rivals.

What about Metaverse are you most excited for in the future?
Metaverse will revolutionize Education With the evolution of the metaverse, I believe education will become more accessible, engaging, affordable, and adaptable. Online education has afforded a greater number of individuals throughout the world access to education at a very low cost. With the introduction of 3D tools, the metaverse will further simplify this. As real-time simulation will be included in such systems, the use of 3D avatars will minimize the total cost of studying a course like medicine.
Why should we be paying attention to the Metaverse?
Events. I’m assuming that by now, everybody has participated in some sort of 3D, 360-degree, or augmented reality experience. I’m referring to a virtual world in which you can move around using an avatar or in first person. Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet may not be the pinnacle of virtual gatherings, but maybe you should give them another go. Prove that your company is among the innovative ones. Recently, I’ve participated in hybrid events. Some of the choices don’t have audio, or they need you to download software that could compromise your computer’s security. The promise of the Metaverse is that it will resolve this. The development of online meeting software is a relatively new sector, but you can shape the setting to enhance the methods we already employ. It is feasible to host team building and educational sessions online. Pick an online classroom exercise, a treasure hunt, or an escape room. Roblox and Minecraft are popular with educators and school curriculums because of their adaptability and wide user base.
