Reactions from 2018's NEWEST Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award winners ?

I spotted some great reactions across the social channels, from some of our newest Microsoft "Most Valuable Professional" award winners. I'd like to share just some with you and congratulate them on gaining an entry in the most famous "technical face book" of all time!

You too could take your place in this hall of famous helpers! Read more about the Microsoft MVP awards here > https://mvp.microsoft.com < Use the "Find an MVP" section to find your local country's MVPs, who can help you. Or contact me for some pointers, especially if you're in the UK. Each country also has regional coordinators, which MVPs can introduce you to.

DO NOT MISS the videos near the end! :D

In each below, the name is linked to their MVP profile and the image is linked to the original post.

Elaiza Benitez

PL: My favourite of the batch! A truly worthy award for a super 365'er!

As well as that awesome cartoon, Elaiza also gave us this most endearing video moment, as she opens the package for the first time. This is just how it feels, I think most of us also do the angels "aaaaaargh", just like Elaiza does! But she figures out what to do with the glass 2018 disc much quicker than I did the first time! :)

Tom Degreef

PL: Click through for animated GIF and a sense of that feeling we all felt when the news landed in our inboxes! :D

Stefano Demiliani

Mark Plettenberg

PL: And there's the classic photo opportuniy that says it all! I think all MVPs can relate to this proud moment. In fact, this snap should be a mandatory post-requisite of receiving the trophy! :D

Stephan Bisser

Jessa Anthony Bulk

Holly Marie Peck

PL: Beautifully framed example of the moment you lay it out before you! Ohhh... and Things...

Eric Leonard

Marek Matuszewski

PL: Another nicely framed unwrapping moment! A great example, again maybe this could be mandatory :D

Chris Yates

Albert Hoitingh

PL: Love that expression. It just says it all. I couldn't wipe that grin off my face for weeks! Walking on air! :D

Thomas Stensitzki

PL: Ohhh, they will certainly be interesting! You will get a steady flow of vNext technology information, a platform to raise issues that matter to you and your community, plus chances to shape your and Microsoft's future!

Ray Carneiro

PL: If your Portuguese is a little rusty, this roughly translates as:

I just received a great recognition from Microsoft! I am now a Microsoft MVP in the Visual Studio and Technologies category! I was very pleased with the recognition, as I believe that this shows I'm following right way, plus making a notable impact on other people. And the year is just beginning!

Beatriz Oliveira

PL: "Relevant" is the keyword Beatriz nailed there. MVPs really get the chance to interact with the product teams and make an impact in their favoured technologies.

Victoria Holt

PL: Victoria eloquently summarizes that feeling, when such a rare honour is bestowed upon you. Another worthy winner and community voice you should follow.

Wael Hamze

PL: Make sure you sign up to the mailing and Yammer groups. You'll soon have a busy agenda and regular NDA show and tells ;)

Claudio Bonel da Silva

PL: Translated to Engels, this roughly says:

It may sound cliché, but just today, on my work day, while I was working, I got my work recognized by Microsoft and I was awarded MVP in the "Data Platform" category.
For those who do not know, MVP is an award offered to professionals who are dedicated to contribute to the community on a particular theme / technology from Microsoft.
As many people know, I dedicate myself to Power BI and the Microsoft data platform and today is a milestone in my career and a day of strong emotions. I promise to honour this award and multiply efforts in sharing ideas and knowledge in our BI and Power BI community.
Thanks to you all who read my articles, watch my videos, or goes the lectures of the Power BI Talks. You [my readers] are the main people responsible for this! You are my fuel and motivator. To you, my sincere thanks. The mission to share knowledge continues to grow stronger!

Christophe Pichaud

PL: Roughly, from French says:

I have just received the Microsoft MVP award on "Visual Studio and Development Technologies". This reflects a recognition of the technical articles I make for Programmez and my contributions to Github. Happy! :)

Igor Santos De Paula

PL: A basic translation says:

MVP Award hit my email box! There are no words to describe this moment. I can only thank those who do not only see the boots, but also the hard feet.
I will not forget you all who were so important in this journey. Thank you so much. Receiving the prize on Labor Day could not be more symbolic. Now it's time to roll up our sleeves and continue delivering value to our communities in RJ and Brazil.

Nilesh Shah

Paco de la Cruz

PL: Notice "honoured" again, it is a regular sentiment. It truly is a great a great honour to win this. It's not easy to get nominated, then selected! You must be a consistent influence in your community and generous with your time. This is a true recognition and gratitude for your community efforts from Microsoft, the world's most relevant company.

Marek Grabarz

Callon Campbell

PL: Honoured, overwhelmed, excitement. True every time! I also just noticed, the shout out to a Canadian community legend and good friend, Ken Cenerelli who no doubt gave advice and mentoring, during his rise to this top accolade. This is just what I suggest in my opening paragraphs. MVPs will always help you get involved, to make your mark in the community. Befriend some from your country and category today! :)

Luce Carter

PL: Luce's write-up is well worth a read and some words of praise if you have the time : https://lucecarter.co.uk/road-to-microsoft-mvp-my-journey/

Peter Egerton

PL: Read Peter's 'first week' diary of being an MVP here - https://morethanpatches.com/2018/06/08/a-week-as-a-microsoft-mvp/

I am also indebted to Peter, for digging up a couple of most awesome and hilarious videos, which ALL new and old MVPs must watch!

MUST WATCH!!!

Henk Boelman

PL: Perfectly posed prize! Even subtle reflection of Henk snapping the moment So much so, that it looks like Henk is holding the MVP logo! At least he's not in his pajamas! ;)

Once again, congratulations to this newest bunch of MVPs! Thanks for sharing that special moment! After all, the whole point of the award, is "sharing is caring"!

This amazing award, an incredible year of events and all the benefits that come with it could be yours too!
