Do we risk the quality of relationships based on our desires for success??
Do we build are lives entangled with our need for growth that we forget what is truly important??
Do we share our true self to gain acceptance??
As humans our deepest desire is to be known, understood, accepted, and loved for all of what we offer, the good and the bad.
As facilitators of Treasure North a couples centered excursion retreat company we have witnessed couples disclosing their desires to be heard in a relationship. Their plea for the other to understand their needs and be curious enough to learn about them has been a commonly expressed concern in many relationships throughout observations. While their desires are to know each other deeper, many times they are unwilling to express their true self and initiate change.?
At the heart of change is curiosity and our ability to understand one another. As we seek an understanding of self, our minds become open to possibilities that can produce positive outcomes.?
How can we expect to make forward progress if we are not addressing our pasts and doing so from a healthy perspective?
Begin with the question: What type of walls have you built around your authentic self??
Our traumas and shame create walls of protection around our authentic selves ostracizing others who can show genuine support.?
As stated above your desire is to be known and accepted fully but does this mean you are opening your world to others??
Our next step in developing breakthrough relationships, healthy self image, and confidence in who we are is by defining traumas in our lives and letting them go.?

By choosing to forgive it empowers you to take control of the emotions that have entangled you for so long.?
The flywheel of emotions and cycle of habit formed through experiences can put us in a proverbial trance not allowing for breakthroughs to happen. It is through defining, addressing, and rebuilding we are able to fully step into our best self.?
Our constant shame messages of worth if not constantly monitored and altered can be doing significant harm to our subconscious.??
What areas are you addressing with an open mind to grow in? What shame messages are you sharing to yourself in the form of I am …..?
Are you being as authentic as you can be in relationships, or are you putting on the "mask" to cover your heart??
The choice to become your most authentic self is extremely fulfilling and will allow you peace and tranquility in a world so desperate for an example of such to be set.?
Join me in showing the world you and I are only ourselves and nothing less.?

2 年Nathan, thank you for helping me get closer to my authentic self with the personal mission statement exercise ~6 months ago. I look forward to finding a brave woman with the courage to be her authentic self!! Divorce is in the works. . .?? Early-life traumas really are the roadblocks to connection. The subconscious needs to be assuaged with safety, love, and angelic healing. I love seeing the good that you and Lacey are doing!
