Reach Your 2019 Goals in Baby Steps
Goal setting is easy. And achieving the goal will take lots of effort. But you definitely want to achieve it. Don’t you?
And this calls up for a plan!
It is really hard striving to make big changes to your workday, to your health, to anything. It's remarkably stressful! But the reality being - small steps matter which collectively takes you faster for the giant leap.
It is well said by Lao Tzu, “A Journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” Often, big goals are too fuzzy. Some people set goals like, "This year, I want to get in better shape." Here better shape can mean to start going to the gym and having healthy meals. And a day you would feel purposeless and you give up.

So, what’s the better approach?
Remember success is never overnight. It is the result of small, repeated steps. Pick one small goal-oriented thing, do it daily. Commit to doing it. Add it to your to-do list. And in time, you’ll greatly change your life, achieving a purpose.
When Neil Armstrong walked on the moon, his powerful words relate to this “one” or “small” steps. Of course, it didn’t happen overnight. The successful mission was composed of thousands, and maybe even millions of small steps and victories. It’s the same for successful leaps towards our goals.
Slow and steady actions to succeed
- Write down your goals for your subconscious mind to accept the commitment you’ve made to reach your target.
- Put in questions to figure out small, super-easy ways to begin to reach your goal.
- Small thoughts to engage all your senses to make your mind to practice the things you want to achieve.
- Do your small step until it becomes automatic.
- Resolve small problems as soon as it creeps over you.
- Figure out what new knowledge or skills you need to develop.
- Small rewards to make sure you’re always motivated.
Here’s to taking a step in the direction of your goals and transform your dream into reality!
Ask yourself the following questions:
What is your biggest goal?
What are the steps you should take in order to achieve your goal?
How have you divided your goal into smaller goals?
Which steps can you take in order to achieve that new goal?
What’s next step to your goal?
As you start to work towards one mini-victory at a time, make sure you treat yourself for each achievement in some small way to go a long way. I encourage you to focus on the first level, and step by step you will achieve your goals!
