Re-Opening Florida

We wanted to bring the latest updates, with no clear date of re-opening here in Florida, the last Executive Order 20-71 of a declared "State of Emergency" in Florida expires on May 8th or 60 days from signature on March 9th unless extended. As of right now there have been no new extensions.

The last two Executive orders in Florida are still in place Executive Order 20-52 closure of Bars and Restaurants and 20-71 declaring Florida a State of Emergency. Hopefully over the next week there will be a plan to open and people can set a plan of re-opening. The orders state as follows below;

****Executive Order 20-71 (Closure of Bars & Restaurants) *******

Section 2. Restaurants and Bars

I hereby order all restaurants and food establishments licensed under Chapters 500 and 509, Florida Statues, within the State of Florida to suspend on-premises food consumption for customers. Notwithstanding the foregoing, such establishments may operate their kitchens for the purpose of providing delivery or take-out services. Employees, janitorial personnel, contractors and delivery personnel shall be allowed access to such establishments for the purposes of delivery or take-out services. This Section amends and supersedes Executive Order 20-68, Sections 3(A)-

********** Expiration of Executive Order 20-71 ********

Section 5. This Executive Order shall expire upon the expiration of Executive Order 20-52, including any extensions.

****Executive Order 20-52 ( Declares State of Emergency)****

WHEREAS, as Governor, I am responsible for meeting the dangers presented to this state and its people by this emergency. NOW, THEREFORE, I, RON DESANTIS, as Governor of Florida, by virtue of the authority vested in me by Article IV, Section (l)(a) of the Florida Constitution, Chapter 252, Florida Statutes, and all other applicable laws, promulgate the following Executive Order to take immediate effect:

Section 1. Because of the foregoing conditions, I declare a state of emergency exists in the State of Florida.

***** Expiration of Exec Order 20-52 ********

Section 8. All activities taken by the Director of the Division of Emergency Management and the State Health Officer and Surgeon General with respect to this emergency before the issuance of this Executive Order are ratified. This Executive Order shall expire sixty days from this date unless extended.
