Re-Inventing yourself
Major life changes are never easy, reinventing yourself can sometimes be a conscious move because of your instincts and the urgent matters of the day work against you.
When people decide to reinvent themselves or move forward from their comfortable zone, they need first to have the courage and bravery to be confident that they can do it. If they work hard, remain focused, and continue believing in their vision, it’s absolutely possible to make life changing decisions and bring ideas to life. Excuses are lies we convince ourselves of so that it does not have to be our fault.?
“Find a way not an excuse”
I do admire most of the slogans' sports brands as their purpose is to excite you to drive you forward such as “Just do It” for Nike and “Impossible is Nothing” for Adidas.
On the other hand, I think it’s important to recognise that reinvention, whether on a personal or professional level, can be frightening. Stepping outside your comfort zones to the unknown is scary.
My recommendation is: take the time to be honest with yourself about your strengths, weaknesses and what you’re truly passionate about. These are keys to take big steps forward. Below is the map of the comfortable zone.
The 4 steps in the graph are a must to move forward and it's road map of what to expect. From Comfort Zone, to Fear Zone, to Learning Zone and to finish with the Growth Zone.
Ten recommended habits to re-invent yourself:
1.???Take responsibility for your current status: Take the time to evaluate your current positioning and understand why you are here.
2.???Identify your passion: This will highlight what really matters to you. Write them down and explore the things you’ve always wanted to try.?

3.???Work out on what is challenging you: Could be presentation or organisational skill, maybe management abilities. Point it out and work on it or get someone to complete these shortcomings for you.
4.???Enjoy the process and evaluate each step moving forward: It is a continuous journey of learning that never end. Do not give up and stay focused on what you want.?
5.???Practice physical sports: Any activities you like will assist you by boosting your confidence, leadership skills and becoming competitive.?
6.???Do something you always said you wanted to do but could not find the time: Gardening, fixing a car, starting your MBA, climbing Kilimanjaro, etc.
7.???Consider the unknown and go out from your comfort zone: Getting out of your comfort zone from time to time creates?just enough good stress?to ramp up your focus, creativity, pace, and drive, and it helps you respond to life stress when unexpected things happen.
8.??Continue to learn from your mistakes and take risks: Risk urges you to learn new skills and evolve the already existing ones. Fear of failure gets obliterated once you embrace a risk-taking culture. It inspires creative thinking.
9.???Get a Mentor or a tutor: It has many benefits, such as becoming a good listener, exposure to new and different perspectives, increased self-confidence, accepting constructive feedback and increasing self-awareness.
10.?Have no regrets and do not take life too seriously: No matter what happens, hold no regrets. You never know what the future might have in store for you. You never know where failures or mistakes might lead you to.
Reinventing yourself is vital for health and happiness. Studies have shown its immediate impact on brain intellect, overall well-being and longevity. Reinventing yourself to live more in alignment with your values can transform your life satisfaction and you become more grateful.
