[Re] Igniting Your Passion
Passion is not something you find or discover. It is already inside of you. Often we are told to be passionate about what we do. An expectation is set in our minds that the majority of the time we should enjoy what we are doing. Whether in your career or business you might truly have a passion for what you do on a daily basis. However, if this is not true, you will likely keep searching for a new passion even though what you are currently doing might be a great fit. There are other ways to be passionate, not just in what you do, but why you do it, how you do it, and who you do it for.
Why
Mission and purpose. The end result you are seeking becomes your driving force. What you are doing is bigger than just yourself. You are contributing to a greater cause. Always keeping your long-term vision in mind you are eager to handle any challenges that come your way.
How
Performing your tasks with enthusiasm, precision, and excellence. By devoting your attention to the smallest details you provide great service to your community, customers, team members, and leaders. You create a positive outcome through your concentrated efforts.
Who
Who are you serving through your work? It may be people you know personally or groups of people you have yet to meet.
By looking into these four ways, and likely it will be a combination, there is a good chance you can ignite your passion or spark a renewed enthusiasm in what you are currently doing.
