Since Wilson had doubts about taking up the mantle in "Falcon and the Winter Soldier," who better than Tony Stark to offer guidance and support?

However, it's not out of the question that one of the world's smartest men would have a contingency plan to return. He previously created JARVIS, Stark’s AI program that eventually became Vision.

If Robert Downey Jr. were to return as Tony Stark, it could be in the form of an AI program, where his consciousness exists but not his physical body. This would be the most logical approach if he were to make a comeback.
