Monthly and quarterly estimates of turnover and volumes for retail businesses, including store and online sales.


The December 2024 seasonally adjusted estimate:?

  • fell?0.1% month-on-month.
  • rose 4.6% compared with December 2023.


The following industries changed in trend terms in November 2024?from the previous month:

  • Food retailing 0.1%
  • Household goods retailing 1.6%
  • Clothing, footwear and personal accessory retailing -1.8%
  • Department stores 0.4%
  • Other retailing -1.4%
  • Cafes restaurants and takeaway food services -0.5%


The following states and territories changed in trend terms in November 2024:

  • NSW 0.1%
  • VIC -0.2%
  • QLD -0.4%
  • SA -0.7%
  • WA 0.2%
  • TAS -0.1%
  • NT -0.1%
  • ACT -0.7%
