Ai-Thinker’s radar module Rd-04, with a center frequency of 10.525GHz, is a motion perception module based on the X-band radar chip XBR818.

Its main function is to sense the micro-movement and movement of the human body. This module has the advantages of low cost and low power consumption.

The Rd-04 radar module supports constant power supply mode and adjustable duty cycle low power consumption mode, and the current is as low as 110μA in pulse power supply mode. Enables products to achieve lower power consumption and longer battery life.

The size of the Rd-04 radar module is the smallest among the three radar modules launched by Ai-Thinker. The size is only 15*15?mm.

Just plug it in and it's ready to use, suitable for induction access control, smart locks, video doorbells, peepholes, and low-power cameras.

When the Rd-04 radar module is applied to a smart door lock, when someone enters the sensing area, the radar module will sense the human body and immediately send a signal to the smart lock master control. Thereby waking up the networking functions of the smart lock, shortening the networking time, and entering a low-power mode when not in use.

In addition, the radar module can be better combined with other smart devices to achieve more advanced linkage control. In terms of installation, the compact Rd-04 can also be applied to various lamps, such as bulb lamps, down lights, ceiling lamps, etc. When people approach, the lights will automatically turn on, and when they leave, they will automatically turn off, which is convenient for users.
