After a hard-fought seven-day trial, my partner Brandon Lewis and I won an acquittal for a former San Antonio ISD School Board member on federal bribery charges. It was by far my most emotional and rewarding day as a lawyer. I had never tried a criminal defense case to a jury and the pressure was exponentially greater than a civil case. The jury did the right thing and justice was served. Hat's off to all of the criminal defense lawyers I know.
