Raymond Sébastien: exploring the artistic journey of an illustrator
Raymond Sébastien is a talented 2D Character Concept artist and illustrator who specialises in Character & Creature design.
Born in 1985 on the island of Martinique to a Martiniquais father and a Guyanese mother, he grew up enjoying Japanese manga and anime which eventually lead him to pursue an education in art from High School in Martinique, and to obtain a Master of Fine Arts in Illustration from the émile Cohl Art School, Lyon, in France.??????????????

Inspired by Caribbean, Japanese, Afro-American and Spanish art, Raymond’s graphic style has produced several notable works including the character designs for the comic book adaptation of Cathy Cassidy's book series 'Chocolate Box Girls', called 'Les Filles au Chocolat' , and also the production of an historical comic story 'L'Assassin de la République' for the local magazine Lyon Capitale.

Currently residing in Hamburg, Germany, he has an impressive ?client list that includes Bloomsbury Publishing , 20th century Studio, as well as Disney Publishing.
