Raymond James Recap LinkedIn Newsletter

Spring is here and so is our latest recap. I’m excited to share highlights regarding firm leadership announcements, celebrate awards and welcome new faces across the country. I’m proud of all Raymond James has accomplished and we’re just getting started.

As we expand our footprint across the globe, I continue to be impressed by the caliber of advisors choosing Raymond James as a destination. Our core values guiding advisors’ and associates’ dedication to serving clients make us an industry leader and the firm of choice.

Firm Happenings

Leadership updates In late March, we announced Paul Shoukry as president and CEO successor of Raymond James Financial . This decision, which is part of an ongoing multi-year succession plan, is expected to take effect sometime during fiscal year 2025. Current Chair and CEO Paul Reilly is expected to remain in the board as executive chair. Once the succession process is complete, Paul Shoukry would become only the fourth chief executive in the company’s history.

In addition, Raymond James COO Jeff Dowdle will be retiring effective October 1, 2024. Scott Curtis will be taking over as COO, while Tash Elwyn will become president of Private Client Group and Jim Bunn will become president of the Capital Markets segment.

Putting clients first, thoughtful planning and a measured approach – always with a long-term view – are at the heart of what has set Raymond James apart since our founding. It should be no surprise that the same approach has informed the deliberate and disciplined process for selecting and developing the people who lead the firm.
