Raymond Awards for Excellence – RAFE, 2019

Being a part of the Raymond Family, Raymond Awards for Excellence, also known as RAFE is the most prestigious platform to win an award.

I was recently interviewed for my experience on winning the Most Promising Young Talent award last year – here are some bytes of the same!

Q: According to you, how valuable is a Raymond Award for Excellence (RAFE) Trophy?

For me, this is the most prestigious trophy in Raymond. Also, it holds more value when we receive this in presence of our CMD. This is like a dream come true! I can confidently say that holding this trophy is a moment which everyone should aspire to experience.

Q: How did you feel when your name was announced as the winner of the ‘Most Promising Young Talent’ award at RAFE, 2019?

I was very restless & eagerly waiting for the moment. Finally, when I heard my name being announced, I was over the moon! I couldn’t believe my ears. It was extremely overwhelming for me because I was aiming to reach this pinnacle for a year. I was glad that my contribution was recognised on a platform, as massive as this. Coincidently, it was my anniversary that day & this award turned out to be the best anniversary gift I had ever received ??

Q: So, how did you celebrate?

Celebrations on that day seemed to continue forever! That beautiful trophy was in my hand & I took pride in flaunting it. As soon as I received this award, I shared the news with my family because without their support this wouldn’t have been possible. Once I reached home, my family surprised me with plans of their own, to celebrate this momentous occasion. My better half had planned a family dinner and we all had a gala time. Also, with the award money that I received, I gifted a scooter to my wife on the occasion of our anniversary.

My family made me feel very special but my colleagues were not to be left behind. They had arranged for a cake for me, the following day, which took me completely by surprise. 

Q: How has your professional and personal life changed after you won this award?

With any recognition, the expectation and the resultant responsibilities increase manifold. After RAFE, it was no different. I gained lot of respect from my peers post winning this prestigious award & started receiving more exciting assignments & additional responsibilities which would help me to grow professionally as well as personally. My family members, too, were beaming with pride after this and they now expect me to scale greater heights.  

Q: What is your mantra of success?

My personal mantra of success is “unending self-belief”. This can take you places. Work smart, work hard and never give up. Keep aiming higher & be proactive in whatever you do!
