Welcome back, #AVtweeps! We are here with another episode of rAVe [TV] with Steph Beckett and me. This week we are discussing long weekends, ISE 2021 and the newest products you don’t want to miss. Stay tuned, we have a good show for you all!
Quick LAVNCH recap
If it looks like we are missing an episode, it is because we did an episode of rAVe [TV] LIVE at LAVNCH WEEK 4.0. If you want to watch it you can head to our LAVNCH Week 4.0. site and review it there.
Epson LAVNCH & LEARN
I joined Matt Wilk, a professor from Rutgers, to talk about Hi-Flex systems at each respective university. This is the third episode in a series of LAVNCH & LEARN events. Couldn’t make it? You can watch the full session here.
Steph's Trip to NYC
Steph went to NYC for the long weekend and lived it up! She ate tasty foods, walked more blocks than she would have liked, and even ran into Chris Rock. We hope you had fun, Steph.
A Quiet Place Part II
Steph and I both saw A Quiet Place: 2. What’s interesting about this film is that John Krasinski, who made it, decided to delay its release because he was sure the viewing experience would be better in theaters. Steph thinks the people in charge of sound mixing should win an award this year. I think the second is better than the first!
Sharp NEC and Avery Dennison Partnership
Sharp NEC has partnered with Avery Dennison to put out a film product that is packaged with a projector. It is focused on digital signage and UCC applications. This is a great idea for a product because you can turn any glass surface into a projection surface. This will be big in digital signage for retail stores, sports bars, places that are immersive. Read more here.
ISE Digital 2021
ISE 2021 has two smaller roadshows, in Barcelona and London. Steph wrote a summary of the digital component--what to expect and some of live commentary from the event. rAVe Assistant Editor Katherine Clark also wrote a wrap-up of some of our favorite sessions. I commend them for having the event despite tight lockdowns remaining in Europe. Pay attention to what we are posting at ravepubs.com to keep up with the new products. Read the summary here and the commentary here.
BrightSign to Out-Demo the Competition
Bob Snyder writes about Nexmosphere’s recent integration with BrightSign and how it elevated their game at ISE 2021. Compared to other companies, their demos were a stand out. Check it out here.

DisplayNote’s CEO Paul Brown Talks Post-Pandemic Expectations
Paul Brown wrote about his observations as a CEO of a company during a pandemic. I liked his honest observations and first-person perspective. It is good personal insight from someone who was impacted and him grading himself as a leader. He also gives good advice about what integrators should consider moving forward. See what he has to say here.
