Hello, AVtweeps! What a crazy week it has been. We attended InfoComm 2021 last week and jumped right into rePLAY 2021 this week. In this episode, we will be summarizing and giving feedback on our experience and looking at the future of our sponsors. Keep on reading to stay up-to-date.

It was a hectic but very productive week! Despite InfoComm being much smaller, it was still a busy week with lots of conversation. We did something a bit different this year, gradually uploading InfoComm 2021 coverage on our microsite throughout the weekend. You can check it out at ravepubs.com/infocomm2021. The rAVe Readers’ Choice Awards are open for voting (but have now closed)! We love hosting these awards to allow AVtweeps to share their opinions on the best products and companies of the year. We published the outcome on Nov. 4, and Megan Dutta and Steph discussed it on our rePLAY 2021 show. You can read the winners right here !

As we’ve all said before, InfoComm 2021 was a smaller show than we had hoped for. But, we still made some unforgettable memories and had a wonderful time networking with our fellow AVtweeps. The most popular sentiment was how pleasant the show was, despite the differences from years past.

I was able to attend this year’s award show at InfoComm 2021. It was a bittersweet moment. AVIXA gave the Adele De Berri Pioneers of AV Award to Cory Schaeffer. We can’t think of a more deserving recipient of this award.?
The Mackey Barron Distinguished Achievement Award was given to Fred Bargetzi, an industry hero who recently passed away from ALS. We played his tribute video last week on rAVe [TV]. Fred was in the industry for 21 years and held 21 patents! What an achievement, you will be missed.?
Let’s give a round of applause for all of the amazing industry members who won this year! It was awesome to be able to attend the ceremony in person.?

Laurie Englert of Legrand AV joined us from Minneapolis to discuss the kickoff of their roadshow tour! I went up to Minnesota the week before InfoComm to check out their showcase.
