On the evening of Wednesday, March 6, 2025, Scott R. Sharer passed away after a seven-year battle with brain atrophy and dementia caused by vascular degeneration. A gifted communicator, teacher, and engineer, Scott was also a beloved brother and a friend to many in our industry. Read more here.

Extron has introduced the UCS SW 313, an eight-port presentation switcher designed for unified communications and collaboration (UCC) environments. Featuring three inputs—one USB-C and two HDMI—the device supports multiple AV sources, while five USB device ports enable connectivity for peripherals such as USB cameras and microphones at speeds of up to 10 Gbps. Broadsign and Scope3 have announced a partnership aimed at improving the accuracy and depth of carbon modeling for digital-out-of-home (DOOH) campaigns. As brands increasingly seek to reduce carbon emissions across their operations, including marketing, the collaboration expands the availability of detailed emissions data for DOOH inventory worldwide.
