RatRace
RRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrr ….. and we continue to roll. Day n night, we grind to keep ourselves in the RatRace. Catch is, we don’t get enough time to step back and reflect on ‘why’ are we doing this? Just like the F1 pitstop, where no one wants to lose a micro-second or else they will be left behind.
What is the motive behind this participation in the RatRace? Why is everyone glued to this RatRace and are desperate to succeed? Is it peer pressure? Since everyone is doing it, let us do it too? Or is it money, title, authority or just the desire to keep running and look busy?
This RatRace has no finish line, but we surely will run out of time to be replaced by someone. Make wise decisions and spend time doing what gives you pleasure. Be it family, friends, music, travel, read or not doing anything at all. Boom! If this makes you happy, as Nike says ‘just do it!’.
Sitting long hours behind laptop screen, refreshing Outlook on your phone for next email, showing up to work every day or attending prolonged meetings is required to pay your bills. Discipline yourself to define limits and make time to prioritize doing what you love. Create memories before you become a memory.
Your time is very precious. Don’t let anyone dictate what you do with that. Work hard. Play harder!

1 年Great article, I enjoyed reading it. Touched my heart...all these points are related to our daily work routine. We will be finished but the work will not finish...so give time to yourself and think for what purpose you came to this world...for a RatRace??
