A Rare Two-Seater Breed - Our OPEL GT 1971 - ￡12,999. The GT coupe was the only true sports car that Opel produced!
The Opel GT is a front-engine, rear-drive two-seat sports car manufactured and marketed by Opel in two generations. Our Opel was part of the first generation Opel GT that debuted as a styling exercise in 1965 at the Paris and Frankfurt motor shows.
Without a doubt one of the best features of this GT by miles is its excellent steering and handling - hard to find now, and values are on the rise.
Our 1971 example, purchased from new to the UK from Germany is such an example. Finished in the original colour scheme of Aztec gold with black interior our GT has, remarkably, had just three owners from new. The substantial history file contains the original handbook, numerous invoices, MOT certificates right back to the early 1970's and the green log book of the period showing the original owners valuable registration number.
Never lacking in maintenance and recently fitted with a new exhaust system, tuned and driving extremely well this stylish coupe is in remarkably good order throughout. Rarely, if ever, found in this condition this GT really is quite exceptional opportunity to own an affordable classic.
