The annual RAPS Convergence has concluded, and it was an enlightening experience. Our Life Sciences SME,
Karen Tkaczyk
, represented the
Vistatec
Life Sciences Division, and we're pleased to share some of the event's highlights:
- Location: Montréal served as a captivating backdrop for the conference, seamlessly blending its modernity with the charm of the old town.
- Diversity in Clinical Research: The session led by
Aman Khera EMBA FRAPS FTOPRA
, and
Sarah Bly
was particularly impactful. Their discussion on the importance of diversity and inclusion in clinical research was both passionate and insightful. Their blend of expertise and passion truly resonated. "Disease and illness do not discriminate," they said. Indeed.
- Regulatory Affairs: The session, featuring
Derecka Alexander, MPH, DVM
,
Marcus Delatte, PhD
, and Owen McMaster, provided a comprehensive overview of the current state of regulatory affairs for Cannabidiol Products. It was enlightening to gain insights from the
FDA
, veterinary perspectives, and recent trial data.
- Session Selection: With a lineup resembling a "Who's Who" in Regulatory Affairs, choosing which sessions to attend was a delightful challenge.
- Exhibit Hall Highlight: Kudos to the team at
RegDesk
for their innovative approach with the regulatory superhero capes and caricatures. It added a touch of creativity and engagement to the event.
We eagerly anticipate the upcoming
Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS)
Convergence in Berlin and Long Beach in 2024. By then, we optimistically foresee a reduced necessity for sessions titled "What's up with MDR?"
