Rapid Prototyping and Operational Design
Rapid Prototyping needs a flexible language which in its operational sense should allow hot-patching with a dependency on whether a restart of the process is required or not.
A system that is designed this way, I never did, but is an ideal way to take up a design process and helpful to understand Rapid Development of projects.
That brings us to the hot-patching scenarios like whether it can be done through a script, like a python script using a.k.a Linux Distro distributions system on a cluster.
Can this be also be allowed to hot patch an Windows Kernel bug which can be used to deploy code which makes it necessary for either a restart or not.
Does UML, or the Rational Process have a dependency on operational aspects in design, yes it does it is very much a "step-by-step thinking process to weigh the pros and cons of choices".
All in all a way to analyze possibilities with design which have never come to me in any of the projects I have created.
