Ransomware

I remember like yesterday, a rainy day during wintertime in my hometown, using my computer like any other day, listening to music, checking e.mail and surfing the internet.

Happy to receive a new notification from my banking provider, I open it, the e.mail says to follow the link provided to read a new urgent message, I clicked the link given and ….

Suddenly on my screen appears the statement saying that my files are encrypted and I need to pay Bitcoin to retrieve them.

I didn’t even know what Bitcoin was!!!

I panicked……..

That day something was triggered in me, and that negative event brings me an interest in Cybersecurity.

So for the question: “What bring you into the Cybersecurity field ?”

My answer will be: "A Ransomware!"
