The Ranger Unmanned Helicopter Is Officially On Duty To Assist Forest Fire Management Officers.

Today is the 15th "National Disaster Prevention Day" in China. Due to the vast territory of the?country and the diverse natural environment, natural disasters such as wildfires, typhoons, and earthquakes?have occurred frequently, seriously threatening the lives of people and the safety of their properties.

?

According to the statistics?of national natural disasters in 2022 released by the Ministry of Emergency Management; a total of 112 million people were?affected throughout the year, 554 people died and disappeared, and 2.428 million people were facing serious injuries.?Also, the affected area of was 120.716 million hectares, which cause an?economic loss of?238.65 billion Chinese Yuan.

?

For this purpose, relevant departments are actively improving the emergency management mechanism, introducing intelligent and AI based equipment to prevent any future disaster, and?to comprehensively improve emergency response capabilities and enhance rescue safety. Among these solutions;?drones?has proven their efficiency in search &?emergency support.

?

ZIYAN UAV helicopter has the advantages of long endurance, high level?manoeuvrability, strong wind resistance, and less restricted by geographical conditions. It can replace the officers to perform tasks such as disaster observation, photography, and air shouting. Therefore, it is used in the field of emergency forestry defence?in response?to the needs of fire rescue and solving the problems of searching in hard to reach areas.

?

Taking an example of rescue operation during a?mountain fire in a forest in Zhuhai City, China.?ZIYAN team?acted?immediately by preparing the unmanned aerial vehicles?after receiving the request from the relevant local department to participate in the fire search & rescue operation. The UAVs were used?to carry tri-sensors?pods to perform day/night fire reconnaissance tasks at different?altitudes of?the fire scene, and report back the fire scene pictures to the command center in real time to provide a powerful reference for command decision-making. ZIYAN also mounted fire extinguishing bombs and cooperated with firefighters to participate in the rescue according to the actual situation.Ziyan participates in mountain fire emergency operations

The fire covered an area of?20 hectares, and a total of 2 unmanned helicopters were deployed, with more than 1,300 manpower dispatched. With the mutual cooperation and joint efforts of various local departments, the rapid expansion of the fire area and the increasing difficulty of the rescue task caused by factors such as steep terrain and complex terrain have been overcome?through ground-air coordination.

Ziyan’s unmanned helicopter supports carrying multiple equipments that can be used for different purposes, such as; high resolution tri-senso pods, megaphones, fire extinguishing bombs and other related devices. The UAVs can?hover?for extended period for precise data-collection and?monitoring,?also they can fly for?high-altitude to ensure bigger picture coverage.

It is worth mentioning that when the ZIYAN unmanned helicopter is performing forest patrol work, the blocking of the mountain will affect the signal transmission, resulting in communication obstruction. Therefore, through ZIYAN relay technology, an emergency local area wireless communication network can be quickly deployed to offer an expanded?signal coverage, and long-distance picture transmission can be realised, so that unmanned helicopters can achieve a larger control and monitoring range?beyond visual line of sight.

Currently, Ziyan unmanned?helicopters have continued to participate in the forest patrol with more?than 3,000+ flight hours, which has comprehensively improved the management and control capabilities of forest fire prevention and supervision. In the future, Ziyan UAV will also continue to expand the boundaries of their capabilities, enhance situational awareness, and contribute to the cause of emergency rescue.
