Ranew's Celebrates Davenport Expansion with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
We were excited to commemorate our expansion into Davenport, Iowa, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 18 at our new facility at 8360 Research Drive in the Eastern Iowa Industrial Center. This new location joins our 10 existing sites throughout the Midwest and Southeast. The ceremony was attended by company executives and Quad Cities Chamber leaders.
Our Davenport facility was established to meet a customer's need for liquid coatings in the Quad Cities area. Over six months, we relocated a paint line from Georgia to this new plant, which now features an automated liquid painting line. This setup differs from our East Moline plant, which operates e-coat and powder coat lines. The expansion was driven by the proximity to customers, availability of industrial space, and a skilled local workforce, contributing to a $33 million annual economic impact and more than 60 jobs.
We have made significant investments in machinery and equipment at the Davenport location, demonstrating our commitment to the region's industrial growth. Chris Caves, Vice President of Business & Economic Growth for the Quad Cities Chamber, emphasized that our expansion underscores the Quad Cities' industrial strength and manufacturing legacy. We have also benefited from technical assistance and workforce training grants, further solidifying our presence in the community.
Ranew's has grown significantly in the last few years by consistently addressing customer needs through our comprehensive coating solutions. Our customer-focused culture has earned us accolades, including the John Deere Supplier of the Year award. We are also committed to community engagement, recently conducting a book drive for the Davenport Community School District and the One Eighty nonprofit organization, with plans to support further initiatives such as the Hunger Drive and Toys for Tots
