Do not ignore your team members' career aspirations!
I have been thinking about posting my random thoughts in LinkedIn for a while now. I never had the courage to do so, but I think I don't care anymore.
So here goes folks, my Random Thoughts!
RT#1
My 5 year old son, Vaishnav (A.K.A Vaishu), used to cry in sleep till a few months back. We always wondered why is he doing this and concluded that he must be seeing some scary dreams (may be the horrifying scene of me scolding him, well who knows!). But my wife, Leeba, all she used to do when he cries is to just lie down with him and hug him tightly, with back pats. It was all about telling him that she cares for him and she will be there to help him when he is struggling with something.
Now, all the managers out there, when was the last time you told your team member that you care for his/ her career? Do you really help your team member to develop in his/ her career?
