A rambling rant

This is going to be a bit of a ramble and rather than my usual writing style I'm going to try to condense my thoughts into dot points because why not do something different??

1. Data shows that the number of First Home Buyers have hit a 5 year low... what a shock...
2. 3 of my favourite contra-indicators have now blocked me on Twitter... anyone know how to make an extra account or stop me from ripping on some the stupidity I see???
3. Summary of retail stocks in reporting season, last year was very good, this year sucks.
4. Owning Uranium is either going to be the investment/trade of my career or I'm going to look like a fool. I'm comfortable with this risk.
5. The government should stop trying to mess with the retirement system with no real foresight or even thought about the implications of what they are doing. How many you start with the ridiculous life time pensions of public servants?
6. Negative gearing as it remains is still stupid. I'll argue with anyone on this. Grandfather out existing properties, limit it to new property and put an annual cap on the maximum tax concessions available from it. Pity half of our elected representatives only invest in property and self interest is a cruel beast.
7. Seems the current parliamentary thought is we should just keep changing the tax system, increasing tax liabilities until the majority of our wealthy leave or move their money overseas to other jurisdictions.
8. If you want interest rate rises to slow down or even decrease, spend less money in the economy.
9. Turns out Domino's isn't as recession/inflation proof as certain investors believed. Would you believe that a really average pepperoni pizza isn't as appealing when you push the prices up? Shocking I know
10. Qantas makes themselves so, so, so easy to hate on. If you had any experience with the airline in the last 2 years and you know what I mean or read any of their statements...
11. Footy is back on. Need I say more?
12. Nothing beats watching England lose a test match by 1 run. Thrilling cricket to watch.
13. I still don't understand why dental isn't covered under medicare? Like you can waste half an hour of a Dr's time daily for a bulk billed meeting for a runny nose but if you have a broken tooth causing immense pain its either pay or suffer? Seems bizarre to me.
14. Apparently I've been saying my last name incorrectly for a fair chunk of my life and have been misnaming my company... Maybe I need to change the Name to "Tyso Wealth"
