Peace to all my fellow Muslims reading this, and likewise my respected non-Muslim colleagues.
I read a post on LinkedIn earlier today, and it inspired me to write a short message of my own for those around me and otherwise who might want to know a little more about such an important month for Muslims. I am new to Pera Technology as well, so if I do seem a little more quiet than usual I am just conserving energy.
In short this month is time for reflection and to grow and become a better human being, through sacrificing something we take for granted here in our society (food and drink). Through this abstinence and extra prayers, we hope to achieve an inner humility that will in turn make us more determined, and better people.
This month also vividly highlights the plight of the poor all over the world (regardless of faith), and reminds one of how fortunate they are. Below is a link to a small article about this month, feel free to read and if you really feel like it join me one day in solidarity and go without food and drink to understand the true essence of this month.
Thanks for reading
