Ralph Lauren Sells Family and Feel-good Factor for Spring?2025
Ralph Lauren officially entered the destination runway show stakes Thursday night with his spring 2025 Hamptons extravaganza at a verdant equestrian estate.
The nearly eight hours of total travel time from Manhattan to Bridgehampton and back, the day before the official start of New York Fashion Week, left a lot of the fashion crowd frustrated. And if Lauren plans to move into this phase of brand building permanently, he will need to also compete with the comfort, hospitality and amenities that European luxury brands offer guests during their multiday destination shows in far-flung locales.

Fredrik Olsson Named CEO of PVH Corp. ?EMEA
Fredrik Olsson, an H&M veteran who most recently led Dubai’s Max Fashion, is switching over to PVH Corp. where he will help the Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein Inc. brands build in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.?
As chief executive officer of PVH EMEA, Olsson will report to PVH’s CEO Stefan Larsson. He will join the company in the fourth quarter and will relocate with his family to Amsterdam, working out of PVH’s EMEA regional headquarters.?
During more than 20 years at H&M — the fast-fashion giant where Larsson got his start — Olsson was part of the leadership team that more than doubled the size of the business to $22 billion in sales last year and more than 4,500 stores globally. During his time there, Olsson served as managing director globally for the H&M Brand and as head of global expansion and head of global growth for H&M Group.?

Goop Refocuses Business on Fashion, Beauty and Food, Resulting in?Layoffs
Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop is restructuring the business to focus on three key areas, and laying off 18 percent of its 216-strong workforce.
While over time it created products in multiple categories, including wellness, home, travel, fashion, food, beauty and sexual wellness, the 16-year-old company is now restructuring to focus on fashion, beauty and food, it said.
Goop said its revenue increased in 2023 and is on track to increase again in 2024, but did not provide a percentage number or a monetary figure. As part of that, beauty revenue was up 40 percent last year.
