RAK Ceramics obtains one of the highest digital maturity scores from the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology

In a recent assessment conducted by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), RAK Ceramics received one of the highest scores for digital maturity among 75 assessed manufacturing companies in the UAE.

MoIAT conducted an ITTI assessment in October 2022, covering tile and sanitary ware factories. It consisted of factory visits and in-depth discussions on all 20 dimensions of a company's operations, such as production, supply chain management, corporate operations, sustainability, etc. The Industrial Technology Transformation Index (ITTI) assessment was conducted in line with MoIAT's Operation 300 Bn strategy to help companies drive digital transformation and derive value from the use of Industry 4.0 (I4.0) technologies.

In this comprehensive analysis, RAK Ceramics was ranked as a best-in-class company in several dimensions. MoIAT found that RAK Ceramics is pushing the boundaries of digitalisation through numerous innovative I4.0 efforts, including:

• Use of AI/ML for various applications, including predictive analytics.
• IoT infrastructure to monitor/optimise energy consumption.
• Presence on the Metaverse platform with ongoing work to establish a customer-facing Metaverse.
• GPS-based warehouse management system.
