Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT Service Limited (RUVITL) plans to secure procurement of thermal power up to 3200 MW capacity and solar power up to 8000 MW capacity through a Tariff-based Competitive Bidding Process.
REC Limited , a prominent Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise under India’s Ministry of Power, has obtained approval from the Reserve Bank of India to establish a wholly owned subsidiary at the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT), Gandhinagar. The RBI’s ‘No Objection Certificate’ for the expansion was issued on May 3, 2024.
SJVN LIMITED is seeking proposals from Solar Power Developers for the establishment of 1200 MW ISTS-connected Solar Power Projects across India through Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding. SJVN plans to enter into a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the selected bidders for a 25-year period based on the terms of the Request for Selection (RfS) and the PPA. The minimum project capacity a bidder can propose is 50 MW, while the maximum is 600 MW. The total cumulative capacity to be awarded is 1200 MW.
Avaada Energy, the renewable energy arm of the Avaada Group , has announced the securing of a green financing deal worth approximately INR 1,190 crore (around USD 143 million) from the State Bank of India (SBI), India’s largest public sector lender. This financing will facilitate the development of a 400 MWp solar photovoltaic power project in Gujarat’s Surendra Nagar district.
