Raising money for people with Cancer

Driving global impact through sustainable solutions in water ??, energy ?, food ??, infrastructure ??, and wound care ??. Passionate about leadership, innovation??, volunteering and raising money for cancer???.
Many of you know that for the past years I take part in cycle challenges to raise money for people with Cancer. This year I am aiming to raise money for "Friends of Cancer Patients" (FoCP) who are committed to helping cancer patients and their families get through the long and arduous journey of cancer treatment. Since its inception, FoCP has delivered moral and financial support to over 1,300 patients and their families, irrespective of their nationality, gender, age, religion or ethnicity.
This year I have signed up for the Mongolia Bike Challenge August 19 to 27 which is regularly listed as the "world’s hardest mountain bike (MTB) stage race". The total distance is 650km with accents up to 3000m.
I have been doing some research why the MTB achieved such iconic and scary status as the most challenging race on earth? Maybe it’s because you need to bring a heat blanket, a whistle and a mirror in case you get into difficulty? Maybe it’s the destination? Mongolia is remote and a long way from anywhere, the weather is unpredictable where even in summer it can be windy, wet and foggy and there's mountains to climb and some sand and rivers to cross. I may even come across a Wolf!!
But this challenge is not about me. Whilst I will no doubt go through some periods of pain and fatigue it’s a far cry from the debilitating effects of cancer. For more information on the great work that FoCP does please visit their website https://www.focp.ae/
