Raising funds for #Pinktober

During the month of October, The St. Regis Downtown Dubai will be supporting the Pinktober initiative through various activities in our hotel and venues. The Library lobby lounge has created an “Exquisite in Pink” Afternoon Tea with a culinary selection of pink inspired treats and cakes. Celebrated Italian restaurant Basta, has a hand selected list of Rosé grape and bubbly offerings to enjoy for a sensational sunset or a causal dinner with friends. The St. Regis Bar has crafted a cocktail menu, “Paint the Town Pink” to support the month of Pinktober.

All proceeds though the initiative will be donated to the Al Jalila Foundation. Since the inception in 2013, Al Jalila Foundation has made great strides to advance breast cancer care in the UAE investing more than AED 8.5 million into life-saving treatment to support 93 women and has funded 9 breast cancer research studies. Community engagement continues to increase every year with more than 100 breast cancer awareness events involving schools, corporate and government partners hosted throughout October.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month and throughout the year—people wear pink ribbons to honor survivors, remember those lost to the disease, and to support the progress they are making together to defeat breast cancer.

The Library lobby lounge will be supporting with an “Exquisite in Pink” Afternoon Tea and Cake selection. The Afternoon tea will be a culinary selection of Pinktober inspired treats such as hibiscus éclair, beetroot grapefruit macaroon and pink framboise tartlet, served with its signature leaf teas or specialty coffees. Scrumptious cakes will be on offer daily and will include the ruby yuzu dome and strawberry chocolate mendiant.

At the iconic venue, guests from all over the world can indulge in world-class cocktails and delicious bites while engaged in conversation underneath a sky of starry lights. The St. Regis Bar nods to the cultural and diverse heritage, whilst being influenced by the city in which it’s located. The team of mixologists has created a crafted cocktail menu to support the month of Pinktober, with creations such as Penrose Negroni and Think Pink. Our resident DJ, OraBeats, will add to the ambiance with her selection of upbeat house to urban soul music.
