I want to post my thoughts on?CEO's and the leadership behind the title and hope it gets read and shared. ?Ive been impressed with?various people for various reasons whose paths ive crossed over the years. I talk to?various CEOs?in sports, tech and entertainment on a daily and weekly basis but there are those few that just stand out, show up and are?present whether its a 15 minutes call, or an hour or two over coffee or drinks.?There are so many characteristics of what makes a good leader as we talk about on The Axis Effect podcast?every week?but to actually see and witness leadership first hand is a beautiful and inspiring thing especially when its public facing whether that was by design or not.???
I was recently asked to build a quarterly women’s leadership event?in Los Angeles that consists of women leaders in sports, tech & entertainment?and there are so many women that i'm proud to call my friends, mentors , clients and advisors but there is one amazing CEO who came to mind. Jen Pelka was on my podcast?a few weeks ago which we will be releasing soon, but her leadership, tenacity, perseverance to lead a female owned winery was just too inspiring to not post about.?Jen?wasn’t about showing off, she was about showing up and owned her leadership and forged ahead to create Une Femme.?
Beyond the beautiful branding and website and her expansion into stores across the country and Delta Airlines NationWide, its her story and reason behind the company that resonated with me most and one i'm proud to share publicly.?
Une Feme was born in a Champagne Bar - Not a boardroom!
At Une Femme, they believe that every woman has the power to be the hero of her own story.?They believe?that women are powerful, fierce, fearless and are perfectly imperfect.?They are sisters, daughters, mothers, aunties, colleagues, bosses, friends and lovers. They are dreamers and doers, hustlers and winners. They are anything?they want to be!
So whether your toasting to a dream job, progress toward a better world, or just making it through to the end of the week, lets raise a glass?to women raising the bar everywhere!
