I have worked for a couple of years in the sales industry and below are some insights worth sharing;

  • Selling is a skill aquired over time.
  • Industry analysis/understanding are must-haves for any successful Sales icon.
  • The buying and Sales cycles must harmonize for most part of a selling process to get deals closing.
  • Consumers buy "value" and not just Products and Services.
  • A"Customer Journey" is exclusive to every customer and hence manage every customer uniquely.
  • Endeavour to earn/gain the right to the next step of a Sales process.
  • A careful forecasting of sales landscape or industry can very much reduce Sales life-cycle.
  • Customer Success Stories just don't happen,they are acheieved by well defined steps.
