Raise The Bar

#RaiseTheBar So many times its the small changes that make a difference, its often not big steps but small ones that will make big differences. If you are running a business, competing in a sport or just getting on with life, the small changes you make to the way you have always done things can make all the difference to the outcome. Setting your sights on improving your business margins by say 10% might sound achievable, might seem highly possible, but depending of coarse where you start it could actually be quite a big jump. Starting at 1% and aiming for 10% is the dream, but start raising the bar to 2% first, then 3%, aligning your efforts to incremental increases rather than big ones. Think how you can make a small improvement to your own activity. In sales for example, can you make just one more contact with a client, one more phone call, going back over your check list (you do have one don't you?), did you do everything (really?) to close the deal? In business, does everyone know the plan? Was it communicated, did you ask? did you check? Raising the bar starts with you, setting your personal bar, your own aspirations, performance and actions, just a fraction higher. Whatever business you are in, you will want to see success, however you measure that success, setting out your Strategy, Coaching or Mentoring to achieve better (implementation) outcomes, its all about Raising The Bar. 6 年Good straightforward advise. And I'd add you never know what may come of making the effort with a meeting or contact with that extra call.....
